OUR STORY

ESN was the dream of several people who suffered with mental illness back in 1994. With their dream of having a peer-run organization that supported their fellow mental health consumers in their recovery journey in mind, those members worked with our local mental health board and other mental health professionals to create this amazing agency. We work hard everyday, to assure that their dream lives on. Our membership will tell you that they found a “family” at ESN. We are judgement-free and appreciate everyone for the unique gift that each of us has to offer the world. We love one another and embrace mental health recovery and advocate for the power of peer support in that journey. No one can truly understand the recovery journey better than someone who is walking it with you. Join our family and take a positive step forward in your journey of recovery from mental illness.

Membership is free and lifelong for anyone who has been diagnosed with or is in treatment for a severe mental illness.

Erie Shore Network is primarily funded by The Alcohol Drug Addiction Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Erie County.

Program grants are also provided by The Randolph J. and Estelle M. Dorn Foundation, The Erie County Community Foundation,

The Mylander Foundation, The Wightman Weiber Foundation and Grace Episcopal Church.
